Science Week 2018
Graves Park Trip
On the 20th October Reception went on their first school trip to Graves Park! We had a great day walking through the park and looking at the changes we noticed in the season of Autumn. We went on a coach to the park and when we got there we had a little walk through the park, on the way to the play area and noticed lots of leaves changing colours and falling from the trees around us as we walked through the park and sang songs. When we arrived at the play area we had lots of fun playing in the park; we climbed on the climbing frames, went on the swings and had a lovely time playing lots of different games! We had a lovely time looking at the animals that live at the park; we saw lots of ducks swimming in a line and different farm animals which we could say hello to! After our exciting day at the park it was time to go back on the coach and drive back to school.
Graves ParkThe Reception class travelled by coach to Graves Park. We walked through the woods looking for signs of autumn and all found an acorn and an autumn leaf to take home! We had a picnic, sang to the ducks in the duck pond and had loads of fun in the playground.

Reception Trip to Graves Park
Reception children went on an Autumn walk in graves park.
Below are some examples of work from this half-term.
This week we have been writing labels for different parts of our bodies, like leg, back, head, hips, etc. We sounded out the words to find out which letters we needed to write, like this- l-e-g. At this stage in the year most children are still learning how to write their letters correctly, so you may see some letters back to front or not quite formed correctly.
We’re very proud of our good writing!
