Science Week 2018
As part of our ‘Adventure Stories’ topic, we explored different settings including outer space. The children ventured to a brand new planet in a space ship. Inside the classroom they created space artwork and space rockets using chalks and junk modelling.
As part of our ‘What would I like to be?’ topic we visited Pizza Express and learnt all about how to be a Pizzaiolo. We visited a professional kitchen and learnt all about how we make pizza. We tried different ingredients and created our very own pizzas.
As part of our ‘Pirate’ topic we had an immersive pirate day. We climbed aboard a pirate ship and walked the plank, hunted for buried treasure, sang pirate songs and made pirate hats!
Oreo & Friends
As part of our ‘What would I like to be?’ topic we had a visit from Oreo & Friends. We were allowed to handle the animals and learnt about how to look after them. We saw lots of interesting animals that some of us had never seen before. We also got to face our fears and learnt lots about snakes and tarantulas and how they fantastic are!
Jurassic ParkWe visited Jurassic Park. In Forest School we dug out dinosaur footprints and made skeletons out of sticks. Some children made dinosaur food for them to eat. We drew, painted and made dinosaurs and fossils out of clay, soap and cotton buds. We found dinosaur footprints and dinosaur teeth and made a big skeleton of a dinosaur.

Ecclesall Woods Trip 2017
